ETCP INTRODUCES NOVEMBER NEW YORK/LA EXAMS The ETCP Council announces two new exam administrations will be held in 2006 in addition to those held at LDI. The electrical, arena rigging, and theatre rigging examinations will be offered in New York, NY (for IATSE Local One members only) and the Los Angeles area on Saturday, November 11, 2006. If you would like to take the arena rigging, theatre rigging, or electrical examination in New York, NY or Burbank, CA, please submit your completed application, including all supporting documents and fee, postmarked on or before October 1st. Please note the New York examination is for IATSE Local One members ONLY. The Los Angeles area examinations are open to all interested parties. If you are currently signed up for the LDI administration and would rather take the examination in either the New York or Los Angeles area, please contact the ETCP office as soon as possible. The application deadline for the October 19 and 20, 2006 examinations at LDI in Las Vegas is September 1, 2006. It is vital to ETCP that both the development process and the examinations themselves are professionally sound. The ETCP Council appointed these highly regarded subject matter experts (SMEs) to work with a firm contracted for psychometric (testing and measurement) services: Rick Baxter, Eric Bouchard, Jeanette Farmer, Ian Foulds, David Hatch, John Huntington, Tony Giovannetti, Dave Loftin, Jim Maloney, Alan Rowe, Nancy Shaw, and Ken Vannice (Chair). The ETCP Council members are key leaders drawn from entertainment business, labor, facilities, associations, and academia representing the diversity of the entertainment industry. Membership includes AMPTP, CITT, ESTA, IAAM, IATSE, InfoComm, The League, Live Nation, PRG, TEA, and USITT.
