Control Protocols Interoperability Pavilion Shows Cooperative Diversity
2007-11-26 NEW YORK, NY -- The Control Protocols Interoperability Pavilion, put together for this years' LDI as part of ESTA's Technical Standards Program effort, provided examples of ACN (ANSI E1.17) capabilities, and details of the OpenACN project. A comprehensive gathering of RDM (ANSI E1.20) products from 14 different manufacturers was combined for a highly educational demonstration of the RDM "Discovery" process. The variety of controller and test applications demonstrated made it clear how powerful these new protocols, both ACN and RDM, can be. They will help shape the future interoperability of entertainment lighting products and applications. The Control Protocols Interoperability Pavilion was another great example of manufacturers cooperating for the collective benefit of the Entertainment Lighting industry. The Pavilion was coordinated by Peter Willis, of Howard Eaton Lighting Ltd, with the generous support and participation of the following companies, which contributed the listed product types.
