Stagemaker Service 101

Join us for this intensive 1-day course, geared toward entertainment technicians wanting to hone their skills in Stagemaker installation and service. This course walks participants through the key service, inspection, and installation points of the SR and SM Stagemaker motors. The course is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Springfield, OH and includes in-class training, hands-on training, and a tour of our production facility.

Key Subjects:
• Basic electrical service and inspection points
• How to read wiring diagrams
• Mechanical inspections for chains and hooks
• Adjusting the slip clutch and load testing
• Measuring brake wear on self-adjusting brakes

About the Instructors:
Morgan McMullen has been with R&M Materials Handling, Inc. (manufacturer of the stagemaker hoist) for over 32 years. During his time at the company, he has worked in a variety of roles inclusing technical support, sales engineering, order engineering, production management, and training. Currently, Morgan works in our Product Support team, supporting all our Customer Service groups and acting as the main trainer for all our aftermarket service training programs. His technical knowledge and expertise allows him to tailor and build the needed depth for our training programs to each group's unique level of experience.

Erin Drake joined R&M Materials Handling, Inc. in 2011. She has worked in a variety of roles, inlcuding sales engineering, Aftermarket mangement, and most recently managing our Product Support and Marketing teams. Erin manages all the training programs offered by R&M. She is the main trainer for our technical sales training programs and systems and supports Morgan with the variery of service trainings offered.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion and points toward the renewal of their ETCP Certification upon successful completion of the course.
