Fred Gallo

Fred Gallo, President of PRG’s Scenic Technologies subsidiary, has been building Broadway scenery since the age of 10. Fred grew up in a well-known family of Broadway stagehands, earned a degree in architectural engineering, and began working as a technical manager on a variety of Broadway productions. In 1982, he co-founded Scenic Technologies and participated in the development of Stage Command, a patented scenic automation and motion control system. Fred holds two patents for theatrical equipment he designed, and is routinely called on as an engineering consultant on theatrical rigging systems for theatres all over the world.

Fred has been involved many well-known theatrical productions, including The Producers, Wicked, Little Shop of Horrors, Twelfth Night, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, and Beauty and the Beast. He has also been involved in the engineering design of Universal Studios’ Terminator 2 in 3D, Twister and Dr. Seuss attractions.
