Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT)
USITT is the association of design, production, and technology professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry. For more than 40 years, USITT has worked to improve the knowledge and skills of its members through research, innovation, and creativity. With more than 3,500 members worldwide, USITT advocates safe, efficient, and ethical practices and participates in the development of industry standards such as USITT DMX 512. It sponsors programs, research, and symposia. USITT also produces the Annual Conference & Stage Expo, a four-day event featuring 200+ sessions, programs, and meetings plus a trade show with more than 150 exhibitors held each spring. USITT brings together diverse groups and encourages their interaction to create synergy among its 10 commissions (interest areas): Architecture; Costume Design & Technology; Education; Engineering; Heath & Safety; Lighting; Management; Scene Design; Sound; and Technical Production. USITT’s members include major industry corporations, businesses, institutions, and educational and performance facilities. Individual membership levels include professional, individual, student, and senior.
