BlackTrax Fundamentals

Course Description:
The BlackTrax Fundamentals training course is a two (2) day hands-on training course delivered at various locations around the world. This two-day hands-on course provides attendees with a Fundamental understanding and knowledge of real-time motion tracking with a particular focus on CAST BlackTrax. This course is for technicians or designers who want an introduction to the real-time motion tracking, or who might be using it on a production or event. By the end of the course, attendees will understand the various BlackTrax components and how to calibrate Sensors and Fixtures.

BlackTrax Integrator

Course Description:
The BlackTrax Integrator training course is a two (2) day hands-on training course delivered at various locations around the world. This two-day hands-on course provides attendees with a understanding and knowledge of integrating BlackTrax with production tools other than lighting. The first day introduces aattendees to the various BlackTrax hardware and software components, the calibration process of BT Sensors, and connectivity of BlackTrax. The second day of the course features a third-party tool that integrates with BlackTrax. The integration element depends on the variation of the course offered, this could be Ai, disguise, Notch, or Watchout. By the end of this course, attendees will have used and manipulated tracking data before projecting onto moving objects or driving generative content, witnessing first-hand the endless creative possibilities of seamless integration.
This course is for all industry professionals including designers and technicians who want an introduction to BlackTrax or who might be using it on an event where they need to know how to use and deploy it.

wysiwyg Fundamentals

Course Description:
The wysiwyg Fundamentals training course is a two (2) day hands-on training course delivered at various locations around the world. This courses provides the Fundamental skills and confidence required to use wysiwyg, whether starting out, preparing to use wysiwyg in the future or an existing user seeking a refresher. Attendees will explore how lighting design and visualization software can be an asset within a variety of industry sectors. This course will provides hands on experience, and time to consolidate learning. Navigate wysiwyg’s user interface and discover the essential tools to design a project: build basic scenic elements, create hang structures; insert and focus fixtures. Define control attributes such as fixture ID, DMX address, dimmer and circuit. Learn how to create lighting plots and reports using inbuilt templates. Finally, join creative and technical elements of wysiwyg together to create renders and videos to showcase your work.

Course Objectives:
Provide knowledge and understanding of the fundamental aspects of wysiwyg along with the underlying techniques used in the application of the software.

wysiwyg Essentials (online)

Course Description:
The wysiwyg Essentials training course comprises of five (5) online seminars. It is possible to take each course as a standalone session or sequentially. All sessions are two (2) hours in duration. Courses are administered and delivered using the online platform GoToWebinar enabling full interaction with the trainer via online chat, VOIP, and screen sharing.

This online courses provides the essential skills and confidence required to use wysiwyg, whether starting out, preparing to use wysiwyg in the future or an existing user seeking a refresher. Attendees will explore how lighting design and visualization software can be an asset within a variety of industry sectors. This course will provides hands on experience, and time to consolidate learning. wysiwyg Designer

Prerequisite: Fundamentals or Essential course
Certification: Participants will complete an assessment task and test to be awarded the title wyiswyg Designer

Course Description:
The wysiwyg Designer training course is a two (2) day hands-on training course delivered at various locations around the world. Attendees will learn how to pre-visualize lighting and other elements of a show, such as multi-media and stage automation. Opportunities will be provided to develop creative concepts and collaborate effectively while exploring wysiwyg’s graphical capabilities. This two-day course consolidates and develops ideas introduced during our other training courses focusing on the processes and techniques required to create, develop and implement lighting schemes in a range of contexts. Attendees will explore advanced features of wysiwyg, including ways to optimize files. Advanced options and various settings in the visualization views will be explored. Attendees will patch and focus fixtures, build LED walls, add multi-media and other elements to a file. Camera control will be explored, as will connection to lighting consoles and control fixtures in the virtual world. Upon completion of the training , attendees will have acquired advanced knowledge wysiwyg and will be able to create and model complex stage lighting including laser and video streaming, manage fixture settings and transfer them to a console.

Course Objectives:
Develop knowledge, skills and ability to use wysiwyg to an advanced level; additionally, provide a sound basis for further professional development.

wysiwyg CAD Specialist

Prerequisite: Fundamentals or existing wysiwyg user
Certification: Participants will complete an assessment task and test to be awarded the title wyiswyg CAD Specialist

Course Description:
The wysiwyg Fundamentals training course is a one (1) day hands-on training course delivered at various locations around the world. This course takes attendees beyond the basics by developing specialist knowledge about additional and advanced CAD tools to increase proficiency and efficiency when using drafting in wysiwyg. Attendees will develop knowledge and skills that will assist them in importing CAD files and how to simplify 3D models for efficiency. The overall aim for this course is to enable attendees to work faster; set document options; customize your workspace; create custom venues; use advanced CAD tools to change various objects’ geometry and appearance.

Course Objectives:
Provide knowledge and understanding of the fundamental aspects of wysiwyg along with the underlying techniques used in the application of the software.
